I grew up in Carmel, Indiana, where Indiana University wasn’t just the state’s flagship university—it was part of our family’s identity. I’m a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, but my connection to IU started long before college. Growing up, my dad took me to IU football and basketball games, and those experiences created a lifelong love for Hoosier athletics. After spending a lifetime cheering for the Hoosiers, seeing the excitement on my dad’s face as Indiana Football rises to national prominence has been one of the greatest joys we’ve shared. After decades of hoping for “next year,” we’ve finally had the chance to watch Coach Curt Cignetti and his staff transform Indiana Football into a program that believes it can compete with anyone. This website is my way of giving something back. When I heard about Mark Cuban’s incredible gift to Indiana Football, one thought kept coming back to me: What if thousands of ordinary Hoosier fans did what they could instead of wishing they could do what Mark did? That idea became I’ll Match Mark. Most of us can’t write a multi-million-dollar check. I certainly can’t. But I do have time. I have marketing experience. I know how to build websites. I wanted to use those skills to contribute in the best way I could—by encouraging other Hoosiers to join together and support the future of Indiana Football. If this project inspires thousands of fans to make a contribution—whether it’s $25, $100, or whatever is meaningful to them—and helps Indiana continue building a championship-caliber program, then I’ll consider it a success. More than anything, I hope this project helps future generations of Hoosier fans experience the same joy my dad and I have shared every Saturday. Go Hoosiers.
